The beloved hymn words on this sustainably made card design are a heart cry the Lord hears and loves to answer, especially during times of sorrow and suffering.
I created this hand lettered and illustrated design in partnership with BCUK (Biblical Counselling UK) as one of the resources at the BCUK 2024 Residential on Loss - the Hope of Christ in Sorrow.
The hymn “Abide with me” was written by Henry Francis Lyte. The lyrics give voice at times of sorrow when we may find we have no words. I love the whole hymn but in particular this verse which I find helpful to pray for myself and others:
“Abide with me: fast falls the eventide; the darkness deepens; Lord, with me abide.
When other helpers fail and comforts flee, Help of the helpless, O abide with me.”
The inside of the card is blank for your message. The card comes with a recycled, and recyclable, kraft envelope.
The art work has been thoughtfully designed to be versatile and appeal to both men and women. The colours used are blues, greens, peach and white.
The design is printed on premium cardstock with a slight shine on the matte coated outside and uncoated inside (so it’s easy to write in).
The card is FSC certified i.e. sustainably and ethically produced and sourced which means you’re part of helping us be kinder to our planet.
